 Startup about to be first Japanese firm to achieve Moon launches lander

A startup about to be the primary Japanese non-public company to achieve the Moon launched a satellite lander Sunday aboard a rocket from a U.S. artificial satellite in Sunshine State.

art of its Hakuto-R exploration program, is scheduled to land on the Moon around late Gregorian calendar month next year, if all goes swimmingly.

The first stage of the program, named once the white rabbit that, consistent with Japanese traditional knowledge, lives on the Moon, additionally aims to position a United Arab Emirates rover on the Earth’s solely natural satellite.

The Tokyo-based startup’s lander left from headland area Force Station aboard a SpaceX Falcon nine rocket.
